If you have a bathroom cabinet filled with expired drugs or medications you no longer use how do you dispose of them? Wake Forest Drug’s medication disposal service takes care of that for you. Just drop off the medication you no longer need at our store and we’ll destroy it, ensuring that it leaves no harmful traces or falls into the wrong hands.
Can’t I just throw my old meds away?
It is strongly recommended that you don’t simply throw old medication in the garbage. Incorrectly disposed of drugs can endanger animals or even humans who may go through the trash.
In addition to this, medication can contribute to the pharmaceutical and chemical residue in surface waters such as rivers and lakes, as well as the soil. Some types of medicine can be flushed down the toilet however you should always check for disposal instructions on the packaging. If the label doesn’t say anything about the way the medicine should be disposed of it’s best to bring it to us.
