About Us

Scott Townsend RPh

Scott Townsend began his pharmacy career at the age of 19, working for a home infusion/longterm care pharmacy in his hometown of Lansing, Michigan. It was there he got the desire to become a Pharmacist. He spent several years learning the art of compounding, and practice of I.V. infusion therapies. He was also fortunate to work closely with Dr. Jack Broviac, the Inventor of the Broviac-Hickman central-line catheter, which became the standard method of infusion for long-term I.V. therapy patients, and is still used today.  He graduated from Ferris State University College of Pharmacy in 1993.

Scott has has also worked for several of the large "chain" pharmacies as a Pharmacy Manager, corporate trainer, preceptor and adjunct faculty for several phamacy schools in North Carolina and Michigan, all of which re-enforced the idea that he had to open his own pharmacy.

To truely make a differnce in his patients' lives.  Scott and his wife Debbie opened Wake Forest Drug in December 2004.

Debbie Townsend RPh

Debbie Townsend began her pharmacy career working as a technician at the local Revco at the age of 15.  She knew then that phamacy would be her chosen career and lifelong dream of opening her own pharmacy.  She attended UNC School of Pharmacy and graduated in 1997.  After a long and successful career with CVS, Debbie and Scott decided to open their own pharmacy together in 2004.

Bryan Blalock RPh

Bryan Blalock joined the Wake Forest Drug family in November 2006.  Bryan's pharmacy career began at a young age, behind the counter at his father's pharmacy in Rockingham, North Carolina.  Bryan attended the UNC School of Pharmacy and graduated in 1994.  After a long career with CVS, Bryan joined Wake Forest Drug.

Fred

Fred joined Wake Forest Drug back in 2006 after moving East from California.  Fred traveled all the way from the San Diego area to attend school where he is studying to become an X-ray technician.  He is married with 3 wonderful boys!

Pam

Pam came to Wake Forest Drug as a customer who was unhappy with her chosen career.  We were lucky enough to scoop her up and she has been with us since 2007.  Pam has over 15 years of retail experience and can do and does do almost everything!  She oversees the inventory and also handles the deliveries.  When she's not here, she can probably be found at home with her 2 daughters, husband and horses!

Liz

Liz came to us as a high school senior at Wakefield.  Since then, Liz has attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she has been accepted into their School of Pharmacy.  We are very proud of Liz and wish her great success in school.

Brandi

Brandi works only part-time here at Wake Forest Drug, as she is a full time student at Barton College working towards a degree in Business.  While not at work Brandi spends alot of time with her family, cooking and enjoying her 5 year old son.

Jera

Jera joined Wake Forest Drug after moving to Raleigh from Maryland.  She came south to pursue a degree in teaching.  You will always find Jera with big smile on her face!  We are lucky to have such a bright and happy person on our staff.

Dawn

Dawn is one of the newest members of our staff.  Dawn moved to Wake Forest with her husband so that they both could attend Seminary.  Dawn is a nationally certified pharmacy technician.

Brandon

Brandon is the newest addition here at Wake Forest Drug and just happens to be married to Dawn.  Brandon and Dawn were very active in their church back in Georgia and if you don't find them at work or church, you may catch them out hiking or geocaching.
